There are three hundred works of Aleksandr Rodchenko exhibition on display at Palazzo until January 8: original photographs, vintage prints and photomontages that combine to shape the artistic career of what was one of the protagonists of the "Russian Avant-garde", an extraordinary intellectual and creative season .
Painting, design, theater, cinema, graphics and photography are areas where the talent of Rodchenko (1891-1956) he experimented by opening new avenues for the further development of each of them: in particular in the field of photography introduced the principles of constructivism, developing methods and tools for its implementation. The "Method Rodchenko," which included the use of diagonal composition, fuzzy progressive inversions guidance, turned with time into a repertoire of "rhetorical figures" available to those artists who adhered to the language of constructivism.



Thanks to the preservation of the archives from the family of her daughter Varvara, the immense wealth of images of Rodchenko was merged in the first Russian museum dedicated to photography, of Moscow House of Photography, along with the family institution and the leading specialists in this area has promoted a long and careful campaign of study of which this exhibition is the result.
