Thanks to an extraordinary loan from Tate, along with Bacon and Freud, Michael Andrews, Frank Auerbach, Leon Kossoff and Paula Rego, artists who marked an era, inspired generations, used painting to tell the story of life. Over 45 works reveal, in a direct and shocking way, the human condition made of fragility, energy, opposites, excesses, evasions, truth, no filter, in a historical moment, ours, so rich in filters. The exhibition is organized in collaboration with Tate, London.
